An RFQ is used to develop a short list of top bidders, which makes evaluation of the RFP much more streamlined. It is typical to allow two to four weeks for installers or vendors to respond.
The RFQ should request:
- Credit score class
- Financial stress class
- Better Business Bureau rating
- Whether the company has filed bankruptcy in the past five years
- How long the company has been in business
- Mission statement
- Annual revenue
- Customer references
- Resumes of key team members
- Examples of similar completed projects
