It is the largest residential whole-house energy efficiency program in the United States.

DOE’s SEP provides funding and technical assistance to states, territories, and the District of Columbia to enhance energy security, advance state-led energy initiatives, and maximize the benefits of decreasing energy waste. National Association of State Energy Officials
NASEO is a national nonprofit association for governor-designated energy officials from each of the 56 states and territories. Its website provides a general summary of the roles and responsibilities of state energy offices, maintains a database of state energy plans, and contains information and resources on a variety of issues and policies relevant to state energy offices.
