Projects may include electric vehicle charging infrastructure installed on any public road or in other publicly accessible locations.

By expanding access to public EV charging infrastructure, these programs aim to promote EV purchases and ownership and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

Equity Considerations

For community grants, projects in rural areas and low- and moderate-income neighborhoods and communities will be prioritized.

Helpful Tips

Plans will need to be updated on an annual basis to reflect the State DOT funding Plans for that fiscal year. During the planning process, local governments can be actively engaged with State DOTs to reflect their needs and share good practices with other stakeholders.
