Carbon Negative Shot Pilots

Purpose

To expand the current DOE’s portfolio of CDR technologies (e.g., biomass carbon removal and storage, enhanced mineralization, ocean based CDR, DAC, etc.) to advance technologies that will ultimately achieve the Carbon Negative Shot target of under $100/net ton CO2e removed (i.e., both capture and storage), by 2032.

Applicant and/or Project Eligibility Requirements

Eligible applicants include individuals, for-profit, and nonprofit entities, education institutions, and state, local, and tribal governments.
