Purpose

To carry out on-site technical assessments to identify opportunities for (1) maximizing the energy efficiency of industrial processes and cross-cutting systems; (2) preventing pollution and minimizing waste; (3) improving efficient use of water in manufacturing processes; and (4) conserving natural resources. Following these assessments, the initiative aims to carry out a joint government-industry partnership program to implement recommendations.

Applicant and/or Project Eligibility Requirements

New program; details forthcoming.

Decarbonization Considerations

Technical assessments provided through this program can help optimize industrial processes to reduce carbon emissions and other waste. These solutions are relatively low-cost and may be economically beneficial for the industrial partners involved. Local governments/authorities should consider directing these federal-industry partnerships to achieve local decarbonization goals.
