Airport Terminal Program (ATP)
Federal Agency

Sub-Department
Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)
Purpose
To provide competitive funds for airport terminal development projects that address aging infrastructure in America's airports, including energy efficiency upgrades and on-site rail access.
Applicant and/or Project Eligibility Requirements
Eligible airports include those operated by authorities, cities, territories and tribes within the national air transportation system. The first $1 billion in grants can fund projects that will replace aging facilities, improve energy efficiency and increase or improve access to passengers with disabilities and historically disadvantaged populations. Projects that relocate, reconstruct, repair or improve an airport-owned air traffic control tower are also eligible.
Decarbonization Considerations
The program is specifically intended to support on-airport rail access, projects that increase capacity and passenger access, projects that replace aging infrastructure, improving energy efficiency of systems and plant facilities, and achieving LEED accreditation standards.
Equity Considerations
